Curriculum
In International School Peniscola the flexibility of small groups as well as the professionality of our teaching team, let us provide students education, intellectual maturity, knowledge and abilities that will allow them to access higher education.
The students that access this level will share the classroom when they have to work on the common subjects of the Mixed Bachillerato. These common subjects of the Bachillerato aim at furthering the general education of the students, improving their intellectual and human maturity and furthering those transversal competences and encouraging learning.
The subjects from the branch of knowledge chosen in Bachillerato aim at providing specific education, linked to the branch of knowledge chosen with the purpose of orienting to a wide knowledge field, developing the competences related to it, preparing for a wide range of higher studies and favouring the incorporation to a specific work area.
SOCIAL SCIENCE BRANCH OF KNOWLEDGE:
This branch of knowledge will address social, economic and political issues. The students that study this specialisation are characterised by their skills such as interacting with people, being good communicators and observers, having good memory and being intuitive, understanding, persuasive and, generally, responsible.
The subjects that they will study in these specialisations are related to the field of economics, business and law, as well as to the adequate use and interpreting of the formal and specific language.
HUMANISTIC BRANCH OF KNOWLEDGE:
This branch of study is mainly chosen by students who like reading and literature, have comprehension skills, are interested in the humanistic knowledge and classical languages, are concerned about social, communicative and imaginative issues and have the ability to abstract, persuade, summarise and express, as well as skills such as good memory, abilities and interest in modern and classical languages.
The subjects that they will study in these specialisations are related to Arts and Humanities inside the field of literature and history.
HEALTH SCIENCE BRANCH OF KNOWLEDGE:
This branch of study is mainly chosen by students who show interest in the field of health. The students that study this specialisation are characterised by being sociable and kind, having the ability to listen, having the vocation, being observers and reflexive, feeling like helping people, showing interest in nature and having good study skills.
The subjects that they will study in these specialisations are related to the field of health science, outlining the sectors of health and research.
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BRANCH OF KNOWLEDGE:
In this branch of study there are those students that show interest in fields such as mathematics, physics, computing or technology. The students that study this specialisation are characterised by having great abilities to reason, observe, concentrate, analyse and experiment. They tend to be critical, curious and studious people.
The subjects that they will study in this branch of knowledge are related to the field of engineering.
