In International School Peniscola we have a language and culture immersion programme in Ireland, aimed at students aged between 12 and 18. The students improve their personal skills such as independent learning, self-management, communication, teamwork, solving problems and leadership skills in a different country while they practise English. It is an experience that they will never forget and of which they can take advantage in the future. The programme is carried out once the school year has finished, in July.
There are four different options depending on the age of the participants.
Programme S1. Students aged between 12 and 15. They live in a student housing and the immersion process takes place around Rathdown School in Dublin.
Programme S2. Students aged between 14 and 16. They live with families and the immersion process takes place in the Loreto Abbey School in Dalkey (Dublin).
Programme S3. Students aged between 16 and 18. They live with families and the immersion process takes place in the center of Dublin.
Programme S4. Students aged between 12 and 17. They live with families and the immersion process takes place in the Loreto Abbey School in Dalkey (Dublin).
In the programme we include the stay, flights, insurances, textbooks, school bag and t-shirt, individual tutorials, daily mails with information, cultural and sport trips, excursions and an intensive course with native teachers and preparation sessions for the Cambridge exams.
International School Peniscola offer a school immersion programme abroad thanks to an agreement with Sheffield Centre. The students enjoy a unique linguistic and social experience. They improve personal skills such as independent learning, self-management, communication, teamwork, solving problems and leadership skills in a different country while they practise English. It is an experience that they will never forget and of which they can take advantage in the future. It is recommended that students who want to enjoy this programme, have already participated in the summer stay programme in Ireland.
The programme is carried out during the first term of 4th Secondary school or 1st Bachillerato. The countries where the courses are organised start their school year before than in Spain, so they can participate in the programme without missing so many classes in our center. The students obtain the grades of the first term in Spain, as any other student of their class.
The families can choose between a stay of 4 or 10 weeks in Canada or 5 weeks in Ireland. In the programme we include flights, monitor during the flight and the course, trips and programmes of social activities.
